we twirled
above the world it’s easy to mistake love up here for tangible, manageable, rangled into being tangled in between strangers. but we aren't strangers tonight under this neon glow and these transparent drinks you're all I've ever known my fearless mess of hair and oversharing wearing thin on reality a totality of self, a totality of lie. lean over edge, breath and space reach beseeching the stars ours are scarred with light and sound drowning solid thought I forgot it was this loud I forgot I lived so cowed in the awe of anxiety bowing to it, but not now not tonight. in vibrant light I blaze and spin begin today forget tomorrow. what a sorrow to recede after expanding. |
